hmm. ; 10:01 PM
well. was reading some forum. no not the one i complained about before. this one is a little different. anyway. the main point is not about the forum. but the article that i read about. its about Singapore Airlines male cabin crew change of uniform.
http://www.singaporeair.com/mediacentre/pacontent/news/NE_3208.jsphmm. as you can see. its about the total change in the uniform colour and blahblahblah. those of you whom have taken SQ before during 1991 onwards, where their uniform was designed by Lanvin. *loves* blue and stuff. yea yea...not very similar to the kebayas that the female crew are wearing. but its still good on some guys. lol
but they have decided to let Balmain do the redesign for the uniform. its not that i have discrimination towards that brand nor its designers. but i feel that given 2 years to design a suit for a renown airline, a normal navy suit with stripe tie wasn't really something that i would agree to.
yes yes. the colours are said to match the colours that you see on the kebayas. but i feel that there can be more to it. after i read the article, i sat here thinking for awhile and i came out with a few "better" ideas already. something that isn't really striped. and something that the world can look up to, like the kebaya.
i just feel that since its 2 years, SQ, male crew and super famous kebayas, they can really do something more different. a tie that has the same printing of the kebaya? a red blazer?*i'm not sure whether there are other airlines that has red blazers* don't you think its a little more singapore? you don't see the kebayas screaming ENGLAND! FRANCE!. =/
just a thought. tell me how you feel.
trist.
