racial harmony dayyy ; 10:30 PM

hey hey! hmmx...today is our sch de racial harmony day. i know the actual day is last friday...but i dunno why they put it today lah. but i still very happy.

i wore nice nice haziq's black baju melayu with a white and gold samping. nice! took my "d" brooch to replace the ugly spoilt button that haziq said was cool and all of his outfits are with a spoilt button. lol. also wore dad's shoe cuz i dunn have any shoe to match my outfit.

so it was a normal day walking to school and i saw this girl who is taller than me with her heels in a red sari. but the thing is not about her height... is that the straps of the heels broke. i practically almost wanted to laugh looking at her dragging her heels walking to the mrt station.

when i got into the train... everybody started to look at me. as if i got like my ars* shown in the middle of air. so the train moved and i met gek at lakeside. we went to meet the others at mac and they got changed. almost everyone wore baju kebaya! lol.

so we walk to sch together looking like a huge gang of malay people. haha. nice. everybody also started to look at us. every student must be thinking "hey...racial harmony is last week!" lol

so it was a normal school day. but mrs ali made my day a happier one after having to lug around the heavy costume for 2 hours? she said to me "derek. i feel proud to be malay cuz you can wear it looking so smartly" i was so happy that i thanked her and i almost hopped to mr ong's pidgeon hole to put my ws.

soon after the compliment number 1... it was recess after the normal sch lesson. saw mrs ali with ms wu. so mrs ali still feels very proud being malay cuz of me that she told ms wu about it. ms wu said "he is derek. of cuz he can bring out the outfit." i was like almost starting to feel myself floating. haha. than i found out that she feels proud is cuz that the people who are wearing the malay costume are wearing it too slopy... :P i still like the compliments

so had fun with all the photo taking part 1. i pratically have to run back to class in the bruno magli shoes and the samping that is making me run in small steps. came into class seeking foo lao in class. i saw her in her indian clothes and i tell her that she is in the wrong class...she should be in the "my place" class. indian teacher :P

ok...now i wann to tell you something before i continue with my pics. i wanted to take pic with sijin cuz she got this nice green kebaya. but she was too sad cuz leonard's ass manage to destroy sijin's camera. so she got so sad about it cuz it is not her cam that she did not want to take pic with me and say hian. poor thing...

so the take pic part 2 ends here. so i started to walk around and in the end walked to the SJ room. than there was the teaching of juniors. so i went to find jin hui to teach with me. and i saw haziq and thats when we had part 3 of pic taking

ok...thats all for the pic parts. still haven talk about my topic of the day. lol

hmmx...today i going to talk about traditional costume? :P

i think that when you are born of a certain race...you should be proud of it and at lease have something that represents your race. look at malay people...they are still wearing their traditional costumes. look at indians...they are also wearing their traditional costumes. but what about chinese? are they born to think that having to wear such clothes means that you are going to a wedding? i think that is what normal chinese people might think.

but to me... if i have a choice...i would wear my traditional costume. but the only thing is that i have yet to find one that fits me and suits me. i think that having to wear it is not something to be ashamed about. i think it is something to be proud of. like what mrs ali said to me in the baju melayu. if you think that having to wear the qipao to go out is funny...what about the malays wearing their baju kurung or kebaya? you think it looks funny? i think it is more of a style than funny.

i do encourage chinese people nowadays to wear more of their traditional costume like the malays and the indians. i think that it makes you look like you are more aware of your race and your beliefs. so wear more ok? i will look for mine soon. :P
